AI DevOps Engineer
Zscaler·Remote, USA
Zscaler's Cloud Platform Engineering group builds and runs the internal cloud platform behind both the product and the corporate infrastructure, spread across AWS, GCP and Azure. This role reports to the Manager of IT Cloud Operations and focuses on automating the platform end to end, with AI tooling folded into the operational workflow. It is remote within the United States, with a stated preference for hybrid working from San Jose.
What you would work on - Building day one automation for provisioning infrastructure, vending new cloud accounts and standing up CI/CD components - Building day two automation covering lifecycle management, upgrades, dependency scanning and automatic remediation - Writing and maintaining Terraform modules, GitLab CI/CD components and Python tooling - Bringing AI and agentic tooling into everyday operational tasks rather than treating it as an experiment - Working with other teams to turn their requirements into automated guardrails instead of written policy
What they are looking for - Five or more years building and operating multi cloud infrastructure at scale - Real depth in Terraform, specifically module design and state management - Scripting fluency in Python, Bash or something equivalent - Practical CI/CD pipeline design experience - A working understanding of Kubernetes operations - Familiarity with identity federation, secrets management and least privilege access patterns - Genuine curiosity about AI tooling, backed by examples of having integrated it into real workflows
Stack: AWS, GCP, Azure, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, Python, Bash, Kubernetes, AWS Control Tower, AWS Organizations, SCPs, RCPs, ArgoCD, Renovate, Dependabot, Kubeflow, MLflow, Bedrock, SageMaker, Vertex AI, Gemini Enterprise
Compensation: The employer publishes a range of $140,000 to $175,000 USD.
