Build and Release DevOps Lead Engineer

Aivanta Tech is hiring a Build and Release DevOps Lead Engineer for its client Apple in Cupertino. This is a release leadership role: you own build promotions, release readiness and deployment decisions for major releases, and you are the person who calls fix-forward or rollback when something breaks.

What you would work on

• Managing build promotion schedules and release handoffs across engineering teams

• Resolving code version, configuration, dependency and release conflicts

• Coordinating incident response and making fix-forward or rollback decisions

• Defining release readiness criteria, validation gates and escalation paths

• Supporting canary and blue-green deployments with engineering and SRE teams

• Tracking release KPIs, deployment failures, MTTR and P1 SLA compliance

• Communicating release risks and status to stakeholders

What they are looking for

• Strong build and release engineering or release management background

• Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools

• Git branching strategies, pull requests and merge workflows

• Python and Bash scripting, and Unix/Linux troubleshooting

• Experience with deployment validation and rollback procedures

• Nice to have: Docker, basic Kubernetes, and Grafana, Prometheus or Splunk

• Candidates from product companies, and former Apple employees or consultants, are preferred
