DevOps & Product Operations Intern
Qarbix·Remote, India
About the role
Qarbix builds cloud and engineering products that help businesses handle cloud costs, database access, retail operations and engineering workflows. This internship sits across two sides of that work. You will spend part of your time testing the products and part of it close to the infrastructure they run on.
It suits someone in a final year or just out of college who wants real exposure to DevOps, cloud and SaaS product work rather than a training course. You are not expected to arrive knowing all of it.
What you will do
Test the products across features and user journeys, covering functional, regression, integration and basic API checks.
Find bugs, reproduce them, write them up clearly and follow them through to a fix.
Verify fixes and run regression passes before each release.
Work alongside the developers and DevOps engineers during releases, including deployment checks.
Keep test cases, test scenarios and product documentation current.
Watch application and infrastructure health through logs and monitoring dashboards.
Help with day to day AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD tasks.
Turn product requirements into test scenarios that hold up in practice.
Flag usability problems and suggest improvements to the product team.
What we are looking for
A working understanding of Linux and networking basics.
Some familiarity with AWS or another cloud platform.
Git and GitHub.
A basic grasp of Docker and how CI/CD pipelines fit together.
Comfort with REST APIs and a tool such as Postman.
Basic SQL.
Care with detail, and the ability to describe a bug so that someone else can reproduce it.
A willingness to learn the parts you have not met yet.
Nice to have
Any exposure to Kubernetes.
Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or something similar.
Some Python or shell scripting.
Jira or another issue tracker.
A college or personal project that touched AWS, Docker, Kubernetes or CI/CD.
What you will pick up
Testing a SaaS product that real customers use, CI/CD workflows, AWS infrastructure, Docker and Kubernetes, API and database testing, monitoring and troubleshooting, and how a release actually reaches production. You will also see how the product side decides what gets built and why.
Working pattern
Remote, for three to six months. Open to students and recent graduates in computer science, IT, software engineering or a related subject.
After the internship
There is a route to a full time role for interns who do well.
