Senior Platform Security Engineer

Datadog is recruiting a Senior Platform Security Engineer into its Platform Security organisation in Paris. The group secures the building blocks that Datadog's own applications and cloud infrastructure are assembled from, and it works by shipping solutions that remove whole categories of risk rather than fixing issues one at a time. Datadog describes the working arrangement as hybrid.

What you would work on - Tackling the harder problems that sit across cloud infrastructure security and application security - Building out the internal security platform so that the safe route is also the easy route for engineering teams - Reviewing code in Go, Python or Rust, and advising on authentication flows, authorisation models and API input handling - Working with Kubernetes PKI and cluster networking, including service mesh and network policy tooling - Helping set the direction of Datadog's own infrastructure security products - Partnering with engineers so that security work lands without slowing delivery down

What they are looking for - A degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience gained in industry - A background in software, platform, systems or network engineering, or in cloud or application security - Practical experience securing enterprise SaaS products, covering authentication, authorisation and input validation - Confidence reading and reviewing production code in Go, Python or Rust - Familiarity with established frameworks such as OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, STRIDE or PASTA, and CIS benchmarks - Hands on time with at least one major cloud, AWS, Azure or GCP, plus Kubernetes, and willingness to work hybrid from Paris
