Senior Site Reliability Engineer (CI-CD/CTAP/Delivery team)

This senior SRE post sits in the SRE organisation within Okta's Emerging Products Group, working on the CI/CD and delivery side of its cloud services. You would operate production infrastructure while also building the automation and self-service tooling that lets product teams deploy safely on their own.

What you would work on - Building and operating large scale cloud infrastructure behind customer facing production services - Taking a turn on call, leading incident response, and running the post-incident reviews that follow - Defining and then improving SLIs, SLOs and error budgets with the teams that own each service - Writing real software and infrastructure code in Go, Python and Terraform rather than only configuring tools - Making deployments safer through GitOps and better CI/CD practice, and modernising older workloads onto current platform capabilities - Improving observability across metrics, logs, traces, dashboards and alerts while cutting the operational toil around them

What they are looking for - Solid production experience on AWS, GCP or both - Deep Kubernetes knowledge, including troubleshooting networking, storage, scheduling, scaling and workload problems - Infrastructure as code with Terraform and Helm - Genuine software engineering ability in Golang or Python, applied to automation and internal platforms - Experience operating distributed data platforms such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Cassandra or OpenSearch - Cloud networking fundamentals covering DNS, load balancing, ingress, TLS and service networking, plus capacity planning and a willingness to join the on-call rota
