Senior Site Reliability Engineer I

Sumo Logic is recruiting a senior site reliability engineer for a product focused SRE team in Noida, working on a hybrid basis. The group takes availability as its central responsibility and works closely with the engineering teams building Sumo Logic's observability and security products. You would help those teams run their services well and cut the operational burden that comes with them.

What you would work on - Maintaining and delivering against a reliability roadmap for the product area you support - Helping define and refine service level objectives with the teams you work alongside - Taking part in the on call rotation and improving what that experience feels like - Writing automation that removes manual effort and strengthens the security posture of services - Facilitating blameless root cause reviews after incidents - Partnering with developer infrastructure teams to scale systems and raise delivery velocity

What they are looking for - Four to six years of industry experience building and operating cloud native applications - A solid AWS grounding across networking, compute, storage and managed services - Competence with Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible and Jenkins - The ability to write production ready code in Java, Scala or Go - Infrastructure as code practice using Terraform or CloudFormation, plus strong Linux skills - A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related technical field

Streaming experience with Kafka, work on planet scale products and JVM tuning at scale are listed as desirable rather than required.
