Staff Site Reliability Engineer
Fivetran·Bengaluru, India
Fivetran is recruiting a staff site reliability engineer for its Bengaluru office on a hybrid basis. The SRE team carries responsibility for the performance and availability of Fivetran's production infrastructure, the robustness of the deployment pipeline, and how quickly incidents are resolved. You would work across several cloud platforms and managed Kubernetes to keep a data movement service running for customers continuously.
What you would work on - Watching over production capacity, throughput and availability, and acting before limits are reached - Feeding reliability requirements into product planning rather than bolting them on afterwards - Coordinating fixes for defects that are blocking support and sales conversations - Advising engineering teams on infrastructure choices that move the service towards uninterrupted availability - Automating how build artefacts are deployed consistently across every environment - Working with security colleagues to find and close weaknesses in the infrastructure
What they are looking for - Around nine or more years running SaaS products at significant scale - Hands on experience with managed Kubernetes offerings from the major cloud providers - Breadth across AWS, Azure and GCP together with infrastructure as code and delivery tooling - Go programming ability, plus scripting in Python or shell; Java counts as a bonus - Deep Linux administration and operating system internals knowledge - Cloud networking experience covering private connectivity and site to site tunnels, plus PostgreSQL familiarity
Stack: Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, GKE, AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, Ansible, Buildkite, Pulumi, ArgoCD, Go, Python, Shell, Java, Linux, PostgreSQL
