Staff Site Reliability Engineer

Sumo Logic is hiring a staff site reliability engineer to work with one product area across its observability and security portfolio. The role is hybrid and based in either Noida or Bangalore. The SRE group treats availability as a product feature in its own right, and you would carry the reliability agenda for your part of the platform.

What you would work on - Setting and driving a reliability roadmap covering maintainability, security, efficiency and delivery speed - Agreeing service level objectives with several engineering teams and keeping them meaningful - Joining the on call rotation to see the operational load first hand, then reducing it - Writing code and automation that removes repetitive work and clears the path for feature delivery - Running blameless post incident reviews and helping coordinate response across products - Hiring and mentoring other engineers on the team

What they are looking for - Around eight years of professional experience in an applied software security or reliability role - Cloud native application development experience and familiarity with how such systems are built well - Detailed AWS knowledge across networking, compute, storage and managed services - Strong debugging instincts that hold up across the whole technology stack - A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable technical subject - Readiness to take part in on call rotations and to work on a hybrid basis from Noida or Bangalore
